The Kroměříž region
Kroměříž Castle, with its celebrated gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage site, simply should not be missed. There are opulent halls and remarkable paintings by Titian, van Dyck and Cranach, as well as the famous wine cellars of the Olomouc archbishops. In Holešov, there are several unique Jewish monuments, and throughout the district, one can admire plentiful examples of Haná’s simple, traditional rural architecture. Mount a bicycle and set out along the River Morava or head for the symbol of the Hostýn Highlands, the St. Hostýn pilgrimage site. The Brdo stone observation tower awaits you in the Chřiby Highlands.
